Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Training

trainingDo you want to work with victims of domestic violence or sexual assault? Does the work you already do bring you into contact with victims? Wild Iris is offering a training course to meet the state requirements for certification to work with victims of abuse. The training will provide information regarding the dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault, legal statutes and education about the judicial system, cultural and diversity information specific to this issue, as well as effective strategies for responding to and working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Classes will be held in Bishop on the following days and times
10/26-10/29: 12-4pm
11/2-11/5: 12-4 pm
11/9 & 11/10: 12-4pm
11/12: 9-1pm
11/16-11-19: 12-4pm
11/23: 12-4pm
11/24: 12-2pm

Classes and materials are free for those who are planning to volunteer for 6 months or more with Wild Iris. We request a $40 donation to help cover the cost of materials for those who don’t plan on volunteering
