Overview
Hotline---available 24/7 for times of Crisis. You will be able to talk to a peer counselor and get information that can help.
Emergency Shelter---for those fleeing an abusive situation. This is short term only available for emergencies.
Safety Planning---Wild Iris Peer Counselors are trained to help with safety planning and to give you information to consider when you are in a dangerous situation.
Restraining Orders---Wild Iris Peer Counselors are trained to help you obtain an order of protection or answer questions about restraining orders.
Advocacy & Accompaniment---This service is designed to be a support during your time of crisis. A counselor can attend court dates, or appropriate appointments (medical, social service, etc) with you as a support person only or to help clarify & explain what is happening. Advocacy may include speaking up on your behalf to make sure your rights are not overlooked.
Counseling & Support---Counseling services may include six sessions with a peer counselor that may support you in working through a crisis, rebuilding self esteem, creating healthy boundaries or recreating yourself and achieving your goals. Support groups are also available.
Information & Referrals---Wild Iris tries to stay informed about most community programs. If we are unable to help you, we will try to give you information about programs that may be more appropriate.
Emergency Food & Clothing---This program is for those in an emergency situation due to abuse. It is also dependent on current funding.
Housing Establishment & Relocation---This program is dependent on current funding also.
