Youth Violence Prevention Program

Wild Iris staff, with supplemental funding from Inyo and Mono Counties, currently offers the Youth Violence Prevention Program (YVPP) to all grade levels of every school in Inyo and Mono Counties. Our educators teach a variety of age-appropriate, personal safety techniques which are empowerment based. The YVPP’s primary goal is to promote healthy, non-violent relationships and addresses important topics our youth face, such as bullying and dating violence.

Our curriculum this year has been updated to reflect new teaching techniques and materials, and is the result of a collaborative effort between school administrators, teachers, parents, and Wild Iris staff.
